With colder weather upon us, I have officially organized all things cozy and oversized in my wardrobe. Is it bad that I get excited for wearing these things partially because fall is my favorite season but also because I can kinda pig out on all of my favorite holiday foods without it showing?! Ok Don't judge because I know I am not alone!
Truth be told though, if you wear it correctly, I believe oversized tops can be incredibly flattering on many different body types. If you're a short girl like me, then this window-pane plaid tunic by Lush will definitely be your friend this fall. The length is long without being dress-like and the pattern is modern and minimalistic, which we know is totally on trend. I paired it here with my trusty black skinnys for a more monochromatic vibe and completed the look with a subtle pop of color with these jewel-toned kitten-heels. It may be my love for a sultry glass of Cabernet, but this deep purple-ish, burgundy is becoming a go-to in my wardrobe. And to think I spent all last fall in pastels. Back to the look as a whole, if you're going to wear a tunic or oversized blouse this season, opt for something tighter-fitting on bottom to compliment and balance out your look in a more slimming fashion.
