Current Skin and Hair Favorites
I have been wanting to do a beauty post for a while now, so hopefully this will be the first of many. These products are all a part of my daily routine and I cannot imagine how I even got by without them in my life before now.
1. Bobbi Brown long-wear foundation & Bobbi Brown sheer finish pressed powder. It took me many years to find a foundation/powder that my skin could agree with. In fact my sensitive skin was so bad last year that my face would instantly reject any makeup so I had to get by with a tinted moisturizer. So trust me when I say this is the best stuff I have ever put on my face. If you are looking for products that will provide full-coverage but also make your skin look natural and dewey, then Bobbi Brown is the girl for you.
2. Revlon Colorburst matte lip balm in 001 honey & 230 Complex. I am a huge fan on lipstick and lipliners, but sometimes it's nice to just throw on some lip balm. These new balms give you the look of lipstick but the feel and comfort of a lip balm. Oh and the tingly sensation from the peppermint scent is so addicting and refreshing. Seriously, whenever I wear these people always ask me, "What lipstick are you wearing????" And when I tell them its a lip balm from Target that cost only $6, they are shocked.
3. Mario Badescu facial spray & Mario Badescu drying lotion. After hearing multiple people swear by Mario Badescu products, I decided I needed to give them a shot. The facial spray is infused with aloe, herbs and rosewater and I use it to set my makeup in the morning as well as a rejuvenator for my skin and hair throughout the day. Since I have been using it, I feel as though my skin maintains more moisture and is less dry by the end of the day. The drying lotion is exactly what its name is. It is an on-the-spot treatment for acne and its basically a little miracle in a bottle. Whenever I find a blemish on my skin, this lotion is my go-to. I put it on at night before bed and by the time I start my day my blemish is either gone or significantly reduced.
4. Batiste dry shampoo in original. Truthfully, I used to despise when my hair was dirty and I would wash it every single morning no matter what. But that was before I found this lifesaver for $8. Guys, this stuff works so unbelievably well that I wash my hair 3 times a week and use this in-between and my hair never looks or feels dirty. This is the only dry shampoo that I have fallen in love with. It is lightweight, invisible and adds volume to my hair whenever I use it. Bottom line, it is absolutely a must for every girl. I only wish the cans were bigger because I can easily go through a bottle in 1-2 weeks.
